NASA’s James Webb telescope has revealed a new colour photo of the ice giant Uranus. It also managed to capture the outer and inner rings – including the elusive Zeta ring, which is dimmer than the others and is closest to the planet’s surface. This is a better and more detailed version of the image that was published in April.
If on the frames from “Voyager-2”, received in the 80’s, Uranus seemed to be a uniform blue ball, the infrared camera “Webb” showed a completely different world.
