Scientists have deciphered the “devil’s curse” on a 15th century tablet

It summons both Beelzebub and Satan – just to be sure.

German archaeologists have discovered an ancient tablet from the 15th century with a “devil’s curse”. The discovery was made during the construction of an extension to the town hall in Rostock, Germany.

The site was once the site of a 14th-century gabled house, described in historical sources as “one of the most beautiful of its kind in all of Northern Germany.” The artefact found is a coiled lead plate.
