Take on more than one task at a time
Researchers from Stanford University found that people who take on multiple tasks at the same time have a harder time concentrating or remembering things compared to those who only take on one task.
When we try to do two things at the same time, the brain simply can’t do both of them with the same quality. Even those who were convinced that multitasking helped them get things done faster, lagged behind those who did things sequentially at the end of the test.
Putting off difficult tasks
We have a limited amount of mental energy. When we waste it, our decision-making ability and productivity decline dramatically. This phenomenon is called decision fatigue.
By putting off difficult tasks that scare you until the evening, you leave them for the time when you have the least energy to deal with them. So try to finish them in the morning while your brain is still fresh and alert.
